One-time screening of Jessica Segall's video work in Kunsthalle Seinäjoki.
Kunsthalle Seinäjoki is hosting a special screening of Jessica Segall’s video work Second Wave (Don’t Give a Damn) on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Come to this one-time screening to experience a work that has never been shown anywhere before! The work will be freely available to the public in the workshop space Itikka (2nd floor) of Kalevan Navetta during Kunsthalle’s opening hours. The work consists of interviews, music, and video footage shot on 8mm film. The video features women who started a lesbian commune in the 1970s in the New Mexico desert in the United States.
Jessica Segall’s solo exhibition Oddkin is on display in the adjacent exhibition space Halli. Friday, May 8, is free admission day at Kunsthalle, so you can also visit the exhibition on the same day for free.
The video screening is part of Kalevan Navetta’s Afterwork Art program, which you can find more information about on the Kalevan Navetta website.
