Welcome to Kalevan Navetta’s afterwork events, where you can enjoy art, culture, and culinary experiences once a month on Fridays! The Afterwork Art events include free admission to Kunsthalle Seinäjoki and a monthly changing art and culture program.

11–19 Free admission to Seinäjoki Art Hall
Exhibition space Halli will feature Jessica Segall’s Oddkin exhibition and the group exhibition Flashback at Vintti.

12–12.10 Seinäjoki Kunsthalle – quick tour to the Oddkin exhibition
A Guided tour to the Oddkin exhibition will be organized at lunchtime from 12–12:10. Free admission and open to everyone.

16–18 Workshop: A Tree That Doesn’t Exist
Monthly artist meeting: Hanne Kantiola. In the workshop, you will build an imaginary plant, similar to Kontiola’s paintings. A branch is the starting point and you can paint, cut and glue a leaf to the branch – thus shape a tree that doesn’t exist. Free admission.

Opening of the exhibition of student works by Näppi School of Crafts and Design.

19–21 Let’s Jazz! Niillas Holmberg & Pauli Lyytinen
The Jazz evening will feature a joint concert by Sámi poet and musician Niillas Holmberg and Emma-awarded saxophonist and composer Pauli Lyytinen. The duo’s musical world is based on channeling, improvisation and intense listening to each other.

13–15 Impivaara Olds: group singing
Group singing by the Impivaara Olds accordion group in the Hugo hall. The event will feature old dance music. Host and frontman Seppo Kujala. Welcome, free admission!

19–22 Afterwork Indie: Walla Walla, Hento Hukka
The Hugo hall will be filled with indie music from Seinäjoki. The evening’s headliner will be the band Walla Walla, who will release their first debut album in 2026.

Walla Walla’s music is dark and slightly dreamy Finnish-language indie rock. The gig is part of the band’s Humu album release tour.

The evening’s second performer, Hento Hukka, plays explosive Finnish-language rock and roll music with influences ranging from punk to soul and jazz to rap, while the text world deals with the depths and emotional worlds of the human mind, as well as wormholes and sunflowers, for example.

17.30-18.30 Artist meeting: Riikka Gröndahl, Aeon Lux and Olivia Viitakangas
The artists Riikka Gröndahl, Aeon Lux and Olivia Viitakangas, who are participating in the Flashback group exhibition, will arrive for an artist meeting at the Seinäjoki Kuntshalle exhibition space Vintti. At the meeting, the art hall’s guide will introduce the exhibition, and the artists will talk more about their works and work. Free admission, welcome!

18–21 NOSTE ACOUSTIC 2026: Emerging Music Club
Noste – the emerging music club will be landing in the Hugo hall and this time you can enjoy the music acoustically. During the evening, Peltokurki, Eereka and Vaelimaa will perform. The Noste club is a free and age-free event, where everyone is welcome!

Noste is an event concept developed by Rytmi Institute in 2023, with the aim of highlighting new Finnish music. Welcome to a journey of discovery into emerging music!
