The workshop will show you how to make a beautiful snowdrop decoration out of leather paper and wooden beads. Location: Taito Shop store, 1st floor.

5–8 p.m. Free admission to Kunsthalle Seinäjoki Exhibitions
The Still I Rise group exhibition is on display in Vintti (3rd floor). The opening of the Oddkin exhibition will be celebrated starting at 5 p.m. in Halli (2nd floor).

5–8 p.m. Exhibition opening: Oddkin
American artist Jessica Segall’s solo exhibition presents multi-channel videos and installations in which vulnerable nature appears both attractive and dangerous. In her works, Segall reveals fantasies and conflicts related to the power relations between humans and nature. The visually powerful works get under your skin and make you feel them in your body.

5:15–5:45 p.m. & 6:15–6:45 p.m. Music videos with Antti Paalanen
Antti Paalanen, who draws heavily on the South Ostrobothnian accordion tradition, presents his musical career through his published music videos. Paalanen’s wild music is played on the accordion, a familiar instrument in Finnish folk music, especially in South Ostrobothnia. Inspired by tradition, Paalanen has nevertheless created his own unique musical world, blending tradition with trance-like minimalism, the hypnotic beat of electronic dance music, and the rugged soundscapes of Siberian throat singing. Location: Music room Kammio, 1st floor.

5:30–7 p.m. Art workshop
In this non-stop workshop, you can get into the spirit of the exhibition by playfully drawing and coloring an animal face that opens and closes its mouth. You can choose from two ready-made animal templates and focus solely on coloring, or draw a completely new animal or creature. The workshop is open to everyone and is suitable for creators of all ages and skill levels. An art hall instructor will be present. Location: Workshop space Itikka, 2nd floor.

6:00–6:30 p.m. Artist interview: Jessica Segall
Art curator Laura Laukkanen from Kunsthalle Seinäjoki interviews Jessica Segall, artist of the Oddkin exhibition. Location: Event venue Hugo.

7–8 p.m. Hugo Club
The club will host a relaxed evening of interviews and performances in the event venue Hugo! The Hugo Club will feature a performance by the amazing circus artist Sini Napari with her show Tulikärpästen tanssi (Firefly Dance), and singer-songwriter Johna will provide the musical entertainment.

Circus artist Sini Napari’s solo performance combines tightrope walking, balancing, music, and light into a magical whole. The LED lighting system designed by Anssi Kolehmainen creates the illusion of a dance supported by fireflies, and the soundscape composed by Kaisa Ristiluoma lives in seamless dialogue with the lights and movement.

Johna is a singer-songwriter from Seinäjoki with a long history of musical interests. The artist’s debut EP, Vaientumaton, was released in December. Johna’s music is poetic, delicate and powerful at the same time, and her lyrics have a playful, insightful touch.
